[12:10] Kika Yongho: Hello Photographers! Here we are with a new episode of our Photo Cafe’! Are you ready?
[12:11] Kika Yongho: If you remember, during last episode we had a live interview with Flo! So we didn’t have enough room to announce another artist who has been working for us and for our “In The Spot” seasonal mono photo expo for the Summer: onceagain (manoji.yachvili)

[12:13] Kika Yongho: We thank Onceagain for volunteering and representing the beautiful summer mood and.. We have also a surprise for you all! Onceagain set up a brand new (whole!) sim for her galleries and she will be opening it to the public tonight to display her new related expo: “Summer Vibes”!

[12:14] onceagain (manoji.yachvili): it has been an opportunity to open the new place with an idea about summer, so thanks to photo cafè.
[12:16] Duraya: So let’s start our second photo BBQ!
[12:16] Duraya: We had a great and successful discussion in spring. Whatever hints and comments were given, they proved to be useful and they were gratefully accepted by the photographers who asked for guidance or ideas to further improve their pictures.
[12:17] Duraya: There are so many rules and technical skills you can think of when taking pictures but in the end it seems to be a gut feeling of ‚rightness‘ that makes you decide you are done and content with an image.
[12:17] Duraya: I think all of us know that feeling, thinking ‚great, really great, but …‘ and you decidedly work on to remove that little ‚but‘ – just sometimes you fail to get there!
[12:18] Duraya: Our fellow photographers are qualified and capable to assist you finding the answer!
[12:18] Duraya: We asked you to bring one or two examples of your work you would love to get feedback on.
[12:19] Duraya: I think it’s understood to give this feedback respecting and valuing the work itself, concentrating on hints for possible improvement.
[12:19] Duraya: So wo dares?

[12:21] A. (ava.darkheart): Ok so first of all i need to say that I’m NEVER happy with my pictures, and so i post some in flickr only when my enthusiast feeling push me too far
[12:22] A. (ava.darkheart): So this picture, was prepared, it was a kind of scene with some friend… then when i started to edit it i found out too much details, too much things to watch, so i put on b&w and ending to ruin it. So i know i will never post it… but maybe you will see things i could have done, even if it’s too late now. done
[12:23] A. (ava.darkheart): so for the record, this is Kika, Mila and I. I let you guess who kicks ass

[12:26] Kika Yongho: Beside I LOVE IT ofc but I will appear probably biased… I am not qualified to give tech suggestions but I can share how I would have edit the photo. I like very much a “double exposure effect” (maybe you noticed in my pics :P) and probably that – or similar – would have helped to blur the surrounding details and give a movement effect. Anyway I love it and you should defo post it 😀 done

[12:28] Kunisaki Izumi (izumi.foxpaws): I love take similar photos. Like Kika i would share how I would take this. Using lower angle. All girls looking at guy who has been kicked. Framing everything closer, Not caring if everything shows well. So more like photo taken in a hurry when something in front of you is happening. Staging photos is really difficult, you did great with this. Done
[12:29] A. (ava.darkheart): yes Kuni, closer would be nicer i guess, i tried to show too much

[12:31] Moonsoul Kiyori: I agree with Kuni, this kind of photo is very difficult to create, 4 avatars is not easy to setup
[12:32] Moonsoul Kiyori: I like the action and how they look natural, doing each one their own thing as they would do in rl. I also find it interesting that you chose to make it B&W Ava. Done
[12:33] A. (ava.darkheart): i though b&w would attract less eyes on details around

[12:34] Maloe Vansant: i love the fun scene, and the idea behind it, but like most said here it’s quite difficult to catch all in this i would concentrate on the action with the guy and put the avatars more closer to catch them in the scene and use the color version. done

[12:36] Maloe Vansant: yes more the fun part, the b&w is more drama

[12:37] onceagain (manoji.yachvili): it’s funny because I think exactly the opposite of Kuni and Moon.. such an action photo in real life would be difficult because you would not have the possibility to repeat the shot.. either you take it right away or you lose it.. on second life instead you have the possibility of making many tests to verify the perfect angle. in any case I like the photo.. even if the gaze immediately falls on Kika and then catch the kick and the boy, which should instead be the focus and taken from below, in my opinion. Done

[12:42] Kunisaki Izumi (izumi.foxpaws): I have been an action, street photographer in rl, and done theatre , concerts documentary, where I must try and read what will happen before it happens, That feeling i try to create in sl. When I’ve done this sort set up, I can take days, I try to see it in my head, what happened before and after. Technical things can take lots time, And you can’t easily test enough when you use other people as models

[12:45] onceagain (manoji.yachvili): I love high key and a little blurry photos, even in real life I often took them. I’m not satisfied with this though because I couldn’t arrange the fish as I wanted and I crashed all the time.. I often leave pictures there because I get bored if they don’t come together as I want

[12:48] Maloe Vansant: i just want to say this is picture perfect for me, the whole concept, nothing wrong with it. Done

[12:52] onceagain (manoji.yachvili): anyway I want to say the dolphin had to be darker, and I had to put also a whale.. and stand out in the white space.. but when they don’t come as fast as I want then I pass on and put in the trash.
[12:53] Duraya: that would definitely be a waste once, it’s really good
[12:54] onceagain (manoji.yachvili): thank you dear.. but if you look at it closer you see that the dolphins is too near the line, it must be a little more up and on the right…anyway..is gone. Done

[12:55] Kunisaki Izumi (izumi.foxpaws): This reminds me off Hitch Hikers Guide to Galaxy where dolphins are leaving earth knowing it will soon be destroyed “Dolphins just say Thanks for the fish and fly away

[12:59] A. (ava.darkheart): I like the process you had there it make it look like a kind of paint or drawing.. I don’t see what’s wrong here! Done

[13:00] onceagain (manoji.yachvili): sorry Maloe but really I don’t understand exactly what the problem with this photo is, to me is a good photo. done
[13:00] Maloe Vansant: Thank you but for me it didn’t feel right

[13:00] Maloe Vansant: maybe i had to keep the original colors
[13:02] Maloe Vansant: it’s like you said about yours , you also had the feel something wasn’t ok

[13:08] Duraya: I loved the first one but I prefer the one you posted last, it is special

[13:11] A. (ava.darkheart): I wont say too much cause am not pro or good to give advice in pictures, specially to you Maloe. But if i may just say that the 2 version give a totally different feeling, so I guess it’s depend what you want to show us. The original one is darker and more “dramatic”, and make me think of the depths of the sea, algae… instead the other one we immediately think of the moon, light of the moon, and it’s something related to the feminine… total different mood. So i guess it’s your choice, both are great in my opinion

[13:16] Kika Yongho: I have a little announcement / spoiler for you about next episode.. It will be (again!) a special one! We will have the inauguration of Moki’s “Recycled Expo” (but I don’t tell you which one! :D) and we will be celebrating it with a double set party! Starting h.9AM SLT with DJ Bee, to continue h.10.30AM with DJ BookaB and our usual episode h.12pm SLT!
